In The Welsh Wind will be holding an Open Weekend at their award-winning distillery in Tan-y-groes on the 26th & 27th of November 2022.
Award-winning Ceredigion distillery In The Welsh Wind who produce award-winning gins and other spirits whilst also developing their Grain-to-Glass Welsh Origin Whisky, will be holding a Distillery Open Weekend on the 26th & 27th of November. The Open Weekend will be held at In The Welsh Wind Distillery, Tan-y-groes and will offer people the opportunity to visit the distillery, take a tour, and find out more about what the team are doing at the distillery and what their plans are for the future. The distillery will also be highlighting all that Welsh spirits have to offer, with spirits brands from all over Wales gathering at In The Welsh Wind Distillery on the 27th (Sunday) for a Welsh Spirits Showcase.
Ellen Wakelam, co-founder and director of In The Welsh Wind Distillery said:
“We are holding this Open Weekend to provide people with an opportunity to take a tour of our distillery, taste different Welsh spirits from brands across Wales under one roof, and find out more about what exciting plans lie ahead regarding our gin and Welsh Origin Whisky production. We will also have a couple of new products in the In the Welsh Wind range for people to try!”

“We are very excited to welcome people into the distillery for our Open Weekend, which will be perfect for people with an interest in gin, whisky, or other spirits and how they’re produced, people looking for a fun day out, and people local to the distillery who may not yet have had a chance to explore what’s going on here and to taste our award-winning spirits”.
The Open Weekend is free to attend, with all attendees offered at least 10% off 70cl Eccentric Spirit Co and In The Welsh Wind gin and vodka bottles. Free distillery tours will be running throughout the Saturday, and can be booked on the In The Welsh Wind website [inthewelshwind.co.uk/products/open-weekend-distillery-tour] to guarantee a tour space at people’s preferred time.
From whisky activities and juniper lucky dip, to mystery gin tombola and a Q&A session with Ellen, co-founder and director of In The Welsh Wind Distillery, the Open Weekend will be filled with different activities that showcase all that In The Welsh Wind has to offer. The distillery bar will be open for those wanting a G&T or mulled gin and rum, with hot food also available on site.
Sunday’s Welsh Spirits Showcase will give people the opportunity to taste, learn about and purchase different Welsh spirits.
