Monmouthshire Food Festival welcome Black Mountain Gold Chocolate‘s Jules James, Master Chocolatier who will give a Chocolate Master Class in the Look and Learn Theatre on Saturday 8th October at 2:30 pm.
Jules was born in Crickhowell but brought up in Canada, he has now returned to his roots. He is passionate about chocolate and is one of only a handful of Master Chocolatiers in the UK. He loves to work with high quality chocolate and create luscious treats including luxury truffles, award winning caramels and individual Dragon bars.
For chocolate lovers this is a demonstration not to be missed. Jules will cover a wide range of chocolate work which will have you positively drooling. Tempering chocolate is an essential skill to master if you want to make chocolate creations. Watch Jules make it look easy. He will also show you how to dip fresh fruit in chocolate. How about fresh picked strawberries to make an amazing dessert? Jules has made chocolates for lots of occasions, including the first Monmouthshire Food Festival, where he prints a personal transfer onto chocolates. Truffles are another of his specialties. Watch how he coats them in different types of chocolate and makes the finishing touches. Our younger chocolate connoisseurs will be well looked after with Jules showing how to make lollipops especially for them.
Jules will also answer any questions you have about chocolate. His is like an encyclopaedia when it comes to his passion for chocolate.
