This is a new company to me and I really enjoyed browsing their site and was thrilled to bits that these medium twist hoops were seen on HRH The Princess of Wales, gosh I am in such good company! I could actually say both of us have incredibly good taste as this pair of twist hoops are totally gorgeous. I love that Spells Of Love offer a three metals to select from, rose gold, silver and gold so there’s a choice for all tastes. For me I was just excited with the rose gold as I’m such a huge fan of that metal. I also think that whoever chose the name for the company was spot on, it’s a terrific name for a company creating jewellery.
Spells Of Love explained to me that this pair are actually a twist on their classic hoops, hence they are of course twist hoops, made from 18 carat rose gold vermeil. This is their best-selling twist hoops and are now back in stock, in a new larger size and look gorgeous when worn. The hoop diameter is 14mm and thickness is 2mm. These are handcrafted and rest assured they are sold as a pair!
All items mailed out from the company arrive in a branded gift box and are sent in 100% plastic free and biodegradable mailing bags. The company are very aware of the environment and rightly believe that the care starts with them as a company and I really do agree with that.
Now we all know that when we find, or are given a perfect piece of jewellery that we tend to wear it every day, which is why the Spells Of Love collections are crafted from gold vermeil, the finest material for long-lasting wear. Gold vermeil is 5 times thicker than average gold plating and consists of a sterling silver base plated in 2.5 microns of gold. With 2.5 microns, the gold is significantly less porous and that means that it will retain its gorgeous colour and lustre for longer. Recycled 18K Gold Vermeil. Vermeil is a legally regulated term. Vermeil jewellery must have at least 2.5 Microns of 18K Gold over a base metal of 925 Sterling Silver. The hoops are also available in Gold Vermeil and Sterling Silver. When a build-up does occur, just gently wash your jewellery using a very mild soap and lukewarm water. Then dry thoroughly with a soft cloth, but do avoid using a polish cloth as this can damage that gorgeous gold finish – which you certainly don’t want to do! But don’t worry about taking care of your jewellery as the company send a care instruction card to help and remind you.
