Since being founded in 2004 as part of the Cowbridge Charter Trust’s 750 year celebrations, Cowbridge Food and Drink Festival has grown from a one day event with 40 exhibitors on one site to a whole weekend of foodie family fun with 100 food and drink exhibitors over three sites, food demonstrations, entertainment and so much more spread around the beautiful town of Cowbridge. The Cowbridge Food and Drink Festival in 2019 remains on the second May Bank Holiday (Sunday 26th and Monday 27th May) and this year welcomes a Vegan Festival. We hope to offer everything you’ve loved before as well as offering something new, plus money saving vouchers with every pre paid ticket to offer even more value for money. We look forward to welcoming you to the festival in May.
2019 – March update
When Welsh Country caught up with The Cowbridge Food and Drink Festival organiser Polly Wilson she commented
“So things are really ramping up at Festival Towers. We have selected our exhibitors for this year which includes some old favourites and of course some fresh faces for you to experience. We have a provisional list up posted in February.
Tracy is again creating the most lovely festival site up at Old Hall Gardens with amazing activities for the whole family as well as a good cross section of exciting exhibitors. Watch this space for further details.
New to this year will be a Vegan Festival, kindly hosted by The Duke of Wellington Inn as a festival within the Cowbridge Food and Drink Festival. This is a growing field of interest and so we hope to attract some really great products – not just food but products created ethically and along vegan means. If you’re interested in getting involved please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Arthur John & Sons have again allowed us to use their car park for the largest site – we couldn’t do this without them and the surrounding businesses. The open air site is really developing well – I can’t believe we persevered so long in the October storms from 2004-2013! We learn something new every year and hope it will offer the same amazing atmosphere for the Cowbridge Food and Drink Festival 2019.”
