Blas Restaurant is located at Wales’ first contemporary art hotel, Twr y Felin, in St Davids, Pembrokeshire.
Offering a menu influenced by the season and locality, with dishes designed to reflect Wales and its produce; Blas, which means “taste” in Welsh, uses ingredients sourced from predominately Pembrokeshire and Welsh suppliers, whenever possible. From fresh seafood and fish to Welsh lamb and beef, dishes at Blas Restaurant are designed to offer diners a true culinary experience.
The menu is varied and thoughtfully designed, with daily changes based on the most available locally sourced and in season ingredients. This includes meat from G. Davies Butcher in St Davids, seasonal vegetables from The Veg Patch, grown at Pen Pant Farm, Nine Wells, shellfish from Jono at Solva Seafoods and fresh fish from Mark Davies in Milford Haven.
Blas Restaurant prides itself on accommodating guests with dietary requirements. We are able to offer dining for gluten free, coeliac, vegetarian, dairy free and vegan diets. Tailor made menus are available to guests with allergies.
Our service style is warm and welcoming. Resident and Non-Resident guests alike are welcome to join us for breakfast, brunch, afternoon tea (24 hours’ notice), lunch and dinner.
On arrival to Blas Restaurant, guests receive a Croeso Cynnes Cymreig, with personal service to ensure they enjoy a pre-dinner seasonal drink or cocktail in Cornel Bar. Where possible drinks are of Welsh origin, or produced in Wales.
The wine list features old world wines chosen from Berry Bros & Rudd of London, who exclusively supply Twr y Felin Hotel in Wales.
The restaurant itself is an ambient space, with mood lighting, original artworks, which often create a talking point and bespoke furniture designed and manufactured by Channels, whose founder Sam Chan was voted Furniture Designer of the Year at the Homes & Gardens Designer Awards 2015.
In addition to Blas Restaurant, Twr y Felin Hotel includes Cornel Bar, a cosy snug ideal for pre-dinner drinks; and Oriel Lounge, which is a light and spacious dedicated gallery, featuring the larger art works of the collection and popular with guests for lunch or afternoon tea. Alfresco dining is available outside Oriel on the terrace.
Twr y Felin Hotel is a former windmill tower built in 1806, now restored and home to 19 en-suite bedrooms and two suites. Its’ sister properties Roch Castle and Penrhiw Hotel also located within the St Davids Peninsula offer guest accommodation with complimentary transfers available to and from Blas Restaurant for dinner each evening.
