The Songs of Shockheaded Peter and other Gory Verses

The Tiger Lillies are the Godfathers of alternative cabaret; Direct from a sell-out London West-End run and the Edinburgh Festival, they bring their show celebrating 20 years of dark and deviant theatrics to Swansea Grand Theatre's Arts Wing on Thursday 11th March at 8.00pm.

For the first time in years, they will perform songs from the Olivier Award-Winning smash Shockheaded Peter, their Grammy nominated album The Gorey End and other deranged favourites.

Filthy, Peculiar, naughty, expressive, passionate and bizarre are just a few of the words that describe The Tiger Lillies. Treading a fine line between Brecht/Weill opera, English music hall, Gypsy folk and even left-bank Parisian buskers, these quirky minstrels are like no others around.

‘There is nothing else like them, they are completely peerless' Alek Kapranos of Franz Ferdinand.

No fear of taboos, their songs describe (in lurid detail) pimps, prostitutes, drug addicts, losers and other unsavoury characters, so the show is not for the faint hearted or easily offended.

‘Fleshily engorged with the pustule throb of the garishly gaudy and gloriously obscene' - Time Out

Catch them while you can and book to see The Tiger Lilles. Telephone box office on 01792 475715 or reserve online at www.swanseagrand.co.uk
