Chosen as the 2014 Radnor feature county project, the guesthouse has been extended and renovated, now boasts a new bar, restaurant and conservatory area. Officially opened by Mrs Rhian Duggan, last year’s president, at the 2015 Royal Welsh Show the new-look facilities can not only be enjoyed throughout the show and other society events, but all year round to visitors to the area.
“Our feature county and county advisory structure forms the backbone of the society’s success and the ‘gold-dust’ that sets us apart from many other societies” says Steve Hughson, Chief Executive of the Royal Welsh Agricultural Society.
“Last year Radnorshire’s incredible fundraising efforts reach a massive £279,000 which has been used to significantly improve the on-site accommodation here on the showground. We are committed to continually improving our iconic site and the feature county system is a key element to this and we remain indebted to the effort that the feature counties go to each year to raise money for the society.”
