Let The Kids ‘Have a Go’ At Skiing For Only £10 During Half Term
In North Wales this half term? Need something to keep the kids entertained? Look no further. Kids love the physical and mental challenge of learning to ski. It’s fun, it’s active and it’s very sociable. So why not let your kids ‘Have a Go’ on our ski slope.
What’s more, if you don’t fancy joining the kids on the slope yourself, parents friends and family needn’t be out in the cold unnecessarily, you can watch all the action from the warmth and comfort of our bar in a comfy chair with a hot drink in your hand and keep one eye on the world outside using our free WiFi
A qualified ski instructor will be running a ‘Have A Go’ session every day from 3-4 pm every day during half term except Saturday.
(Please arrive 30 minutes before to allow time to fit skis and boots)

With rain more likely at this time of year, the autumn months are the perfect time to develop your kayaking skills. We have a huge range of white water kayaking and canoeing courses on offer with something to suit everyone. Get Your Roll Sorted
Having a dependable kayak roll can transform you boating. Knowing you can roll upright in any conditions or situation will make you a more confident, relaxed and balanced paddler – allowing you to enjoy your kayaking much, much more. So why use the winter months to get your roll nailed. Using our indoor heated rolling pool, our kayak coaches will help you progress your rolling whatever stage you are at. We have rolling clinics for beginners, Rolling Reconstruction courses for those who are have a roll but are a bit rusty and even rolling clinics design purely sea kayakers.

Following the last few years winter conditions, lots more people are determined to learn the skills they need to enjoy the mountains safely in winter. How to use and ice axe and crampons, how to navigate effectively in winter conditions, how to make the right decisions and how to avoid incident or accidents in the mountains are just some of the areas you’ll cover on our Welsh and Scottish Winter courses.
Alongside our Winter Skills courses, we also run guided walking and mountaineering holidays in Wales and a wide range of winter holidays and courses right up to performance winter climbing weeks from our base in Scotland.

BMC Subsidised Winter Skills Courses at Plas y Brenin
The British Mountaineering Council have added winter skills weekends to their list of subsidised training courses at Plas y Brenin.
You can choose to save even more cash by booking on a non-residential basis or choosing to stay in bunkhouse style accommodation, which is hardly ‘slumming it’ at Plas y Brenin.
