Battling against the elements, Fishguard-based Prince's Trust Team 129 worked with Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority Rangers Carol Owen and Richard Vaughan on projects at a school, in National Park woodlands and on the Coast Path.

Carol said: "As part of their twelve-week team programme, the young people spent three days developing the new school garden at Ysgol Llanychllwydog in Cwm Gwaun, creating a fantastic area for the children to use when the weather warms up.

"The team constructed a log seating circle, planted a willow dome, filled planters, built seats and planted as part of the project developed in partnership with the school and National Park Authority Rangers.

"The team also cleared bramble at Allt Cilrhedyn and planted 50 trees, and then spent a day on the Coast Path removing a section of old fencing and planting to complete work on a diversion. I hope the young people are proud of what they have achieved - the children will have many years of enjoyment from the garden and thousands of people will walk along their Coast Path improvements every year!"

Team Leader Steve Blunt said: "The team were really pleased to see how they had transformed the school garden over a few days, and it really motivated them to get enthused for their next project."
