The businesses were first nominated for an Award by visiting tourists over the summer and then a record number of businesses completed an entry form to go through to the next stage. All entrants were then assessed and evaluated by the judging panel which included Visit Wales, Visit Chester & Cheshire, Tourism Partnership North Wales, sponsors and the Anglesey Mail.

Jane Blakey, chair of the ATA said; "This year's Anglesey Tourism Awards generated not only an overwhelming number of entries, but entries of a very high calibre. Our judging panel were presented with a daunting task which led to some healthy debate. However, the judges were unanimous in their comments of praise on the quality of the entries, which shows that the tourism industry on the Island is very much alive and thriving."

The winners of the 14 Award categories will be unveiled at the Anglesey Tourism Awards 2010 on Friday 29 January 2010 at Tre-Ysgawen Hall. Tickets for this Black Tie event are priced at £35 a head which includes a drinks reception, four course dinner with wine, the Awards ceremony and entertainment and can be applied for using the application form on www.angleseytourismawards.co.uk.
