Charlotte Greig the organiser of Monmouithshire Food Festivcal told Welsh Country.
“Do we have a double act for you! At 2.30pm on Sunday Michael Hendry, Head Chef at the Llansantffread Court Country House Hotel and Adrian Walker of Golden Valley Meat and Game will team up on stage for a truly memorable demonstration. Accredited Master Butcher Adrian is one of only fourteen in the UK and the only one in Wales and the Three Counties. He will give a butchery demonstration and then pass the meat over for Michael to cook a superb dish for the audience to sample. Michael is an accomplished chef who was a member of the team at the Crown at Whitebrook when they were awarded a Michelin star in 2004. Now as a head chef his talent is showing through in his fabulous food. He is passionate about using produce from local suppliers and from the hotel’s large kitchen garden. Adrian is a trusted supplier who supplies much of the meat and game to the hotel kitchen.
Need something to wash down the great food samples? Why not try a glass of real ale from Brecon Brewing which was established in 2011by Buster Grant who is one of Wales best known brewers. Brecon Brewing have created a range of beers full of flavour and character inspired by the dramatic locality of the Brecon Beacons.
