Calling all meat lovers to Monmouthshire Food Festival on 20th – 21st May at Caldicot Castle. Adrian Walker, Accredited Master Butcher at Golden Valley Meat and Game will give not one but two demonstrations.
Accredited Master Butcher Adrian Walker is one of only fourteen in the whole of the UK and the only one in Wales and the Three Counties of Gloucestershire, Herefordshire and Worcestershire. On Sunday 21st May at 12:30 in the Demonstration Theatre at Monmouthshire Food Festival, Adrian will show how to butcher half a lamb and then at 1:30 in the Look and Learn Theatre he will teach you everything you need to know about cooking meat on a BBQ. His demonstrations are both interesting and fun to watch and should not be missed.
Adrian began his butchery career working as a Saturday boy on the counter of a local butcher’s shop. He attended Colchester Avenue College in Cardiff where he received his Institute of Meat membership and qualifications. At the age of 18 he was working as a senior butcher in a Hereford supermarket and by the age of 19 had started his own butchery business.
