Don’t miss the John Addyman exhibition which runs in the Chate Room until 11th November and is one of the most significant exhibitions in King Street Gallery’s history.
John Addyman was one of the most prominent artists exploring the Welsh landscape in the Twentieth Century. “Scenes, Moments and Animation”, an exhibition of previously unexhibited works, presents a selection of the artist’s watercolour studies of Welsh scenes, demonstrating Addyman’s extraordinary skill in analysing and recording the structure of the land and sea.
The artist, who passed away in 2006, said he “came to life visually in Wales”.
The landmark exhibition was officially launched by poet Tony Curtis and the artist’s daughter Harriet Addyman at an event last week. The exhibition is curated by KSG’s Peter Rossiter in collaboration with Harriet.
