Go Ape High Wire Forest Adventure, with a course at Margam Country Park, near Port Talbot, has been announced winner of the Responsible Tourism award category in the TravelMole 2009 Web Awards. TravelMole, the largest global online community for the travel and tourism industry, announced the winners and presented trophies on Wednesday 24 June 2009 at an awards ceremony attended by around 200 people from across the industry at Canada House in London. Go Ape beat three other companies to the winning spot. Marcus Falconer, Go Ape marketing manager, says: "We're really pleased to get recognition from the travel industry for the work that we do and the quality of our brilliant new website. The website is proving a big hit with our tribe of gorillas and baboons and has great new features such as Flickr and Youtube feeds, video footage, a course finder and the new Banana Blog." The sixth annual awards, voted for by TravelMole subscribers and judged by an independent panel of travel and tourism experts, received over 300 nominations and more than 15,000 votes were cast. Notes about Go Ape: Go Ape High Wire Forest Adventure now has 22 locations across the UK. You will be taking part in a unique award-winning adventure that involves climbing rope ladders, walking rope bridges, crawling through wooden tunnels and zipping to the ground on the popular Go Ape zip slides.
