Join TAN Dance and the youth of Swansea as they bring the ancient Trojan drama of love and war to street level in Troy Boyz at Swansea Grand Theatre on Monday 4th September at 8pm.
Troy Boyz was devised for Swansea Metropolitan University’s Project Olion, part of the Arts Council of Wales’ ‘Reach the Heights’ initiative, funded by the European Social Fund through the Welsh Government, and is the culmination of work with 50+ young people, the majority of whom are male between the ages of 16 and 19 and NEET (not in education, employment or training). The result is an original piece of physical dance theatre with innovative stomping percussion, urban dance battles, evocative music and exciting use of digital media.
TAN dance has a reputation for bringing together large casts of young people at Swansea Grand Theatre and it encourages them to aim high, learn new skills and discover hidden talents, so don’t miss the latest cutting edge spectacle.
Tickets are available from Swansea Grand Theatre’s Box Office on 01792 475715 or online at www.swanseagrand.co.uk and are £5.00 and £7.00.
