Undoubtedly the most successful TV magician of the 20th century, Paul Daniels, together with the very lovely Debbie McGee, is at Swansea Grand Theatre on Saturday 26th May at 7.30pm.
This critically acclaimed and much loved show, 'Hair Today Gone Tomorrow', exhibits their unique hil-hairious art of comedy magic.
His love of magic began when he was on holiday at the age of 11 read the book 'How to Entertain at Parties' and since then he has been entertaining the masses, from tricks for his fellow servicemen during his national service, to audiences in their millions on prime time TV. Opportunity knocked in 1970 when Paul was spotted by a TV producer and he was soon hosting his own show, The Paul Daniels Show (BBC1) with his future wife Debbie McGee for 15 years.
Paul became a magical star and hosted a number of other television series from Odd One Out, Every Second Counts, Wipeout, and the ever popular and fondly remembered Wizbit, all for the BBC. In recent years, he has appeared on Da Ali G Show (Channel 4), Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway (ITV) and Strictly Come Dancing (BBC). He has also appeared alongside Debbie on cult TV show When Louis Met...presented by Louis Theroux (BBC2), Wife Swap (Channel 4), The Farm (Channel 5), and The X Factor: Battle of the Stars (ITV).
With a reputation as one of the most popular men in show-business, Paul has entertained the likes of Prince William, Prince Harry, The Sultan of Brunei, The Sultan of Oman, Prince Rainier of Monaco, Barry White, John Major and countless others. His Radio 2 show, Dealing with Daniels, ran for 6 months and Paul performed at the Prince of Wales Theatre in the heart of the West End in his own show, It's Magic, one of the longest-running magic shows ever staged in London. He has also designed special effects for stage and screen, including Cats, Phantom of the Opera, the Nutcracker and Hollywood movie Return to Oz. In addition to all this, Paul has also developed a career in motivational speaking which aids business men and women in their speeches and presentations.
"An absolute pro... Daniels is properly entertaining and suitable for all the family." THE TIMES
