A night of sophisticated tease, wonderful comedy, magic and music, featuring the UK’s finest artistes of the genre, in The Burlesque Show, at Swansea Grand Theatre on Tuesday 14th February at 2.00pm.

Burlesque, much talked about and yet often misunderstood, is an energetic and eccentric form of entertainment where the usual rules and expected norms are turned on their heads. With a 2,500 year lineage and roots in Ancient Greek satire, Burlesque has been celebrated in many incarnations over the millennia. The genre today draws on a myriad of styles born of many centuries of cultural reinterpretation, and now experts in the field passionately present the core traditions of the craft, with 21st century contemporary sass.
Presented by seasoned theatre producers Nett UK and Burlesque specialists, Ministry of Burlesque, The Burlesque Show delivers the brightest of shining and shimmering talent in a medley of 5-star showgirl antics, cabaret conundrums and comical farce.

With a cast who have devised, mastered and perfected a variety of disciplines and skills, patrons will explore the newly awakened genre far beyond expectations. The award-winning line-up includes Channel 4 TV Star Paul Zenon, Kiki Kaboom, the delectable Kittie Klaw, Elle Amour, Fancy Chance and Dolores Delight, with rising stars Mat Ricardo, Elliot James and very special guest Jim Deveraux.

Both thoughtful and provocative, The Burlesque Show promises to be utterly hilarious, comically sexy and yet enriched with a playful soul. True to its heritage, patrons are advised to bring more than a healthy sense of humour as the producers and cast welcome all curious spectators. Hearty chuckling and the occasional overtly-loud guffaw or ‘whoop-de-do’ are expected, nay encouraged.

Tickets for this evening of eccentric, eclectic entertainment are available from Swansea Grand Theatre’s Box Office on 01792 475715 or can be reserved online at www.swanseagrand.co.uk and are £19.00 with selected concessions.
