International BBoy Competition Ya Don't Stop 2012 is being hosted for the 3rd year running by Rhondda Cynon Taff County Borough Council's Cultural Services in partnership with Elemental Force.
Wales Millennium Centre are also on board this year, hosting a three day Judges Master Camp take place in Cardiff prior to the event!
June 23rd at the Muni Arts Centre Pontypridd, will see the opportunity for you to witness dancers from across the Globe represent for the 2012 Young Blood and Burnout title hosted by No1 UK Hip Hop MC MYSTRO/MYSDIGGI who has toured worldwide supporting the likes of Wu-Tang Clan, Jay-Z and Xzibit. There is also a fantastic line-up of international DJ's:
DSK – All the way from Asia Worldwide! DSK from the Lost Souls Crew has been a key member of the Elemental Force and Soleheaven family for many years now. What will he bring to this year's battle? You'll have to wait and see!
Jaffa - Wales No1 Hip Hop DJ. Elemental Force's very own DJ has been a huge part of the Welsh scene since 1982, from early funk and soul to dirty hard core. Hip Hop Jaffa is the man in the know.
Lu-Chi'sz – Holland's No1 BBOY/DJ and member of the infamous EXG, Extraordinary Gentlemen Crew (who won BBoyworld.com award for "Best upcoming crew" In 2010). He has also started playing saxophone, so in the future you will see a sax playing, dancing, DJ doing his thing.
The Battles on the day will include:
- YOUNG BLOOD - Qualification 2 on 2 (Under 18s) 11AM/1PM
- BBOY BURNOUT - Qualification International Cypher 1PM/3PM
Live Event Show: 5PM – 8PM
- Young Blood - Semi Final, Final Under 18s 2 on 2
- BBOY Burnout – Top Sixteen Solo Selected From Cypher
- What Came Out Of The Mothership (Lockin Duo Showcase)
- Mystro (Live MC Set)
Top judges on the day will include:-
Freeze - Scandinavia's finest pioneer bboy
Movie One - Spain's super strong bgirl
Menno - Holland's original stylistic bboy
The day will include a host of local, national and international bboys/bgirls taking part; and for the first year, the 2 on 2 under 18s competition, due to the major interest and development of the young people within RCT and across Wales.
This year's event is tailored specifically for the younger generation to engage with and experience this culture first hand, whilst giving the elite the chance to represent in the ultimate BBOY Jam. A great chance for young people to witness a culture that has so many positive outcomes - from improving confidence, self-esteem and individuality to gaining respect! This will, without doubt, be an incredible day for all ages that you don't want to miss!!!!
