Manx2.com – which operates the contract for weekday daily flights between Cardiff and Anglesey - sponsored the Outstanding Contribution to Tourism Award at the recent Anglesey Tourism Awards.
The award was won by Jean Baker, who was presented with her award by Chairman of Manx2.com, Noel Hayes, and Jane Blakey, Chair of the Anglesey Tourism Association. Jean has worked in various roles within the industry for many years. As well as being heavily involved in the Menai Bridge Community Heritage Trust, she has also been a Director of the Anglesey Tourism Association, Vice President and President of Bangor Rotary and still sits on Anglesey’s Economic Regeneration Partnership. Jean has also been involved with trying to obtain Interreg EU funding for the Island through inter-regional co-operation with similar organisations in Ireland.
