For the first time, visitors to the Royal Welsh Show will this year be able to access free WiFi hotspots around the showground.
Thanks to the hard work and negotiations between the Royal Welsh Agricultural Society, Superfast Cymru, BT Openreach and Welsh Government, the showground is able to benefit from superfast internet speeds following the installation of high-speed fibre broadband.

Innovation in agriculture in the spotlight again at Royal Welsh Show exhibition

A series of hi-tech innovations with potential to make Welsh farming more efficient and productive will come together under one roof at this year's Royal Welsh Show.
Following the success of the 'Tomorrow, Today' exhibition in 2013, the Royal Welsh Agricultural Society has joined forces with Farming Connect again this year to establish an exhibition of innovation in agriculture showcasing everything from innovative engineering technology to dung beetles. But also this year the projects of the Farmer Innovation Fund will be showcasing their innovative projects intended to increase production whilst reducing farming's negative impact on the environment.

With more and more people taking photographs with their camera, phone or tablet, the Royal Welsh Agricultural Society has decided to hold a photographic competition to try and capture the essence of the Royal Welsh Show.

New research investigates the role of agricultural shows in Wales today.

Greg Thomas, a postgraduate researcher at Aberystwyth University, will be investigating this year's Royal Welsh Agricultural Show to see the impact it has on modern day rural Wales.

The 2014 Royal Welsh Agricultural Show will see the launch of an exciting PhD research project entitled "Agricultural Shows: Driving and Displaying Rural Change", and mark the start of two years of research into the role that the Royal Welsh Agricultural Show plays in modern day Wales.

Foodie Festival is Bigger & Better for 2014!

The bustling market town of Mold is gearing up for its annual food and drink festival in September.
