Zero Carbon Concert to Rock Aber

Aberystwyth hosts its first Zero Carbon Concert at lunchtime on Saturday 27th November. The town is perhaps the only place in Wales to be taking part in this worldwide event. Starting at a rather unusual time of 11.45am, the FREE Aberystwyth Zero Carbon Concert takes place in the bandstand on the promenade and finishes about 3pm.

It is one of many concerts being held on that weekend, just before the UN climate summit in Cancun, Mexico. The Worldwide Zero Carbon Concert intends to demonstrate that it is possible to have fun without causing climate change.

Local organisers are planning a multiple line up at Aberystwyth bandstand over lunchtime on Saturday 27th November. Bands that will be rocking the bandstand include Quercus Burlesque, The Unknown, The Present, and The Horizons. The line up will include other performers such as Côr Gobaith and Samba Agogo.

But it does not stop at performers - there will also be stalls and displays promoting ways to reduce our carbon footprint.

Double your Enjoyment at Cardigan Guildhall with an Art Exhibition by Diane Mathias and Helen Elliott

Two of the country's most sought after professional artists, Diane Mathias and Helen Elliott, are teaming up again for their 7th annual joint show at the Guildhall in Cardigan.

The pair regularly exhibit separately all over Wales and internationally, but their subject is always of their home counties.

Scenes of Ceredigion and Carmarthenshire are the focus of their work.

Diane's work sensitively captures the glorious light on the land, in oil and pastel, whilst Helen's colourful 'naive' paintings are known for their humorous portrayals of local life.

Currently Helen's paintings are on show in both Cardigan and Copenhagen.
The exhibition is on for just one week - from Monday 22nd November until Saturday 27th November - at the Guildhall in Cardigan. Helen and Diane will be there to discuss their work.

Daily opening from 10am until 5pm.

Free entry. All welcome.

Cardigan Guildhall, Priory Street, Cardigan, SA43 1PN
