Anglesey restaurant guide unveiled |
|
A brand new good eating
guide for Anglesey is launched this week. 'Gwir Flas Môn/
True Taste of
Anglesey' lists the island's top restaurants as well as local food producers.
Bryn Williams, head chef at the prestigious Odette's
restaurant in London,
provides the introduction to the guidebook. Bryn, who has worked in some of the
most prestigious kitchens in Europe and under the likes of Marco Pierre White,
encourages readers to come to Anglesey to
experience good local food. He says the guide celebrates the best Anglesey has to offer and adds: "Nothing beats the
experience of top quality local produce, whether dining out or cooked at home."
The bilingual guide features
around 50 eating out establishments and food producers on the island, and aims
to promote Anglesey as a good food
destination.
Medi Parry of the Isle of
Anglesey County Council tourism team said: "This is the first time we
have published a guide like this. Historically Anglesey is
known as the ‘mother of Wales'
because of the island's role in feeding the nation, so it's only natural that
we have produced the guide for locals and visitors alike."
Copies of 'Gwir Flas Môn/ True Taste Anglesey' are
available by contacting the Anglesey Business Centre or the island's Tourist
Information Centres.
