Meadow farm is a 5 acre smallholding growing fruit and vegetables, situated in the Wye valley between Monmouth and Chepstow.
The land has been farmed using traditional methods for the last forty years. The land was chosen because of its rich sandy loam soil. At one point it would have been part of the River Wye and the rich soil deposits reflect the vitality of the fresh fruit and vegetables grown on the farm. No pesticides or fertilisers are used on the land.
The philosophy they follow at Meadow Farm ties in with all aspects of the running of the farm. They use traditional methods which do not just use and take from the land but give back to the soil, so that the land will be nourished and balanced.
Kingstone Brewery
William Cobbett writing in Cottage Economy (1821) was of the opinion that Farmhouse Brewing was an essential part of the Rural Economy.
Set deep in the heart of the Wye Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Kingstone Brewery is a four barrel Micro located at Meadow Farm. The family run Brewery can brew up to 2000 bottles of Real Ale per week.
Everything is done on site - brewing, bottling, labelling and packaging, ready for dispatch to local Shops, Restaurants, Pubs & Hotels.
We also offer a personalised labelling service for events, shops and parties.
You can visit the Brewery and see traditional methods of Brewing, little changed since Cobbetts time.
