The Unusual Food Company was founded by Paul and Lorraine Brandon in September 2004. We are located just north of Swansea in the picturesque village of Ystalyfera within easy travelling distance of the M4.

We produced a limited range of foods working into the night with inadequate equipment but the will, drive and vision to produce fantastic innovative food which we were selling faster than we could make. The cavalry arrived from Sussex in August 2005 in the shape of Lorraine’s brother Lorry and his wife Caroline and after a crazy period of adapting to their new life the four of us have now developed The Unusual Food Company in its current guise. We now have some great local people working with us and the company now offers an array of luxury food services as you can see.

Like you we all have a great passion for food and look forward to seeing you at Farmers Markets and Events or come and find us at the home of The Unusual Food Company. We are working avidly on a range of gluten free and spelt products and continually improving this website. You never know, soon you might even be able to order online!

Our Philosophy

We pride ourselves on using local food producers for our ingredients where possible and our range includes Fairtrade produce. Our entire range is produced by ourselves in-house which enables us to create innovative food tailor-made to meet your requirements.
