Ruffled Feathers

The Three Feathers Badge of The Prince of Wales, known more commonly as 'The Prince of Wales Feathers', is a centuries-old symbol that over the years has come to symbolise Wales. The emblem, although officially property of HRH the Prince of Wales, is used by businesses across the country to promote Wales through their products. Recently, however, a number of Welsh businesses have received letters from Buckingham Palace requesting that they remove the Three Feathers Badge from all of their merchandise. Many Welsh residents, business-owners and otherwise, are outraged that the Prince of Wales should make such a request.
