I'm Kath Rhodes, editor of Welsh Country and delighted with the response and huge support we have had since we launched Welsh Country nearly two years ago. Our team at Welsh Country is passionate about many things, promoting Wales, encouraging more visitors to spend their holidays here, and highlighting the wonderful array of Welsh food as well as many green issues. I hope you continue to enjoy reading Welsh Country as much as we enjoy putting it all together for you. Click here to e-mail Kath |

Agriculturally trained, Ian has always lived and worked in the countryside. Work has taken him around different parts of the UK including a few years in the flat landscape of the Fens. Ian attended Agricultural College in Aberystwyth, and now feels that he has returned home to relish the challenge of building the Welsh Country business. Having done PR and Marketing for 20 years, working with many countryside companies, Ian’s understanding of rural issues and small businesses helps considerably when he is talking to businesses all over Wales about Welsh Country Magazine. Cooking is also a passion of Ian's, which really completes the circle from farming to the plate. Click here to e-mail Ian |

Jerry Greig, Distribution Manager |
|
In the office

Jerry fulfils one of the most critical functions at Welsh Country – he’s responsible for getting it on the shelves. By managing relationships with distributors and retailers, Jerry ensures a steady availability of magazines throughout its period of sale. He also takes responsibility for Welsh Country’s online presence, keeping our website up to date with the latest news from around Wales. But he says one of his best jobs is proof-reading all the articles before they go into the magazine! A keen photographer, Jerry’s favourite pastime is walking the hilly countryside of Wales with his two dogs, camera in hand. Click here to e-mail Jerry |

Having served for many years as chairman of the Welsh Anglers Council, he is the current chairman of the Federation of Welsh Anglers. A man of the wild, lonely fisheries in the hills of mid Wales, Moc loves being far, far from the madding crowds and on the banks of his beloved river Teifi and Teifi Pools fooling the discerning brown trout. |

It took Tom over 20 years to realise that he didn't look good in a suit and tie, and less than 5 minutes to resign from his day job to concentrate on his writing and photography. He's since won awards for his pictures, and travelled extensively both in the UK and abroad. He's equally at home walking, climbing, skiing, or cycling, and his passion for the outdoors is matched only by his love of nature in general. Originally hailing from Bristol, he now lives in the Brecon Beacons National Park, with his partner, Steph, and two dogs, Honey and India. |

After a 25 year career as a teacher and schools inspector in the UK and overseas, Richard Cain left education and changed direction completely to develop a specialist plant nursery near Newcastle Emlyn in West Wales. Penlan Perennials opened in 1999 and quickly established itself as a leader in the field of environmentally friendly, peat free plant production, selling plants worldwide through its online web shop. Mel has worked for the BBC for more than twenty years, covering news stories across the South Wales Valleys and South Powys for both television and radio. As well as working in the newsroom covering stories as they break she presents a weekly programme called Country Focus - for people who work live and play in the countryside and for those who love rural life. Mel's family and friends are the real focus of her life, especially her 12 year old son who takes up most of her time and attention when she is not working. Mel loves wildlife, birds and country life, and is passionate about Welsh food. Mel's Country Matters articles in Welsh Country are a wonderful read not to be missed. |
